It has the effect of cooling blood, stopping bleeding, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It is mainly used to treat hemoptysis, postpartum stasis and abdominal pain, bruise injury, rheumatism and arthralgia.Madder root is often used for dyeing with red color.
