   Dioscorea cirrhosa lour is a kind of liana in dioscoreaceae. The tuber skin is dark brown, uneven and red when the cross section is fresh. It is distributed in southern Zhejiang, southern Jiangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, southern and western Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet Motuo. This kind of tuber is rich in tannin, from which tannin extract can be obtained. It can be used to dye silk, cotton cloth, fish net; it can also be used as medicine to activate blood, replenish blood, and treat diseases such as bruise, stagnation of blood stasis and qi, irregular menstruation, women's blood avalanche, cough and hemoptysis, hemianesthesia and rheumatism.
